"Meet a Highland Cow"
Step into the world of our gentle giants with the Highland Cow Experience at Roundoak Farm, a truly special encounter created especially for Highland Cow lovers. Each visit is a private one-hour session, designed for you and your chosen guests to enjoy an exclusive, unhurried experience with our beloved herd. Whether you choose our Meet a Highland Cow Experience for Two, the Family Experience (up to 5 guests), or our newest favourite, Coo’s & Cuppas, your adventure begins at Roundoak Farm with a guided tour before climbing aboard our farm buggy for a scenic ride to our sister site, Kings Oak, home to our Highland cattle (located approximately 2 miles away).
In the winter months, the Highlanders are cosy in their barns, creating a wonderfully intimate and atmospheric visit. During spring and summer, you’ll head into the fields for a relaxed, safari-style experience where the herd can be admired in their natural surroundings while still getting delightfully close. Our Highlanders are tame, friendly, and accustomed to visitors — and you may even have the chance to meet Daniella, our hand-reared Highland cow, depending on her mood and wellbeing. While entry into the main barn is restricted for safety, guests can still enjoy meaningful, memorable interactions. Every experience is shaped by the season and guided by our unwavering commitment to animal welfare and guest safety.
Please note this experience is suitable for children over the age of 6.
For younger children please contact us directly as this may alter the experience slightly by using the farm buggy due to the requirement for car seats.
